Development Mindset

Welcome to Impact Baseball Club. Below you will find the syllabus for what to expect with the IBC training program, powered by Base by Pros.

“I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy; I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it.” - Art Williams

During August and September, we believe it's absolutely imperative that our athletes are resting their bodies and solely working a strict arm maintenance program. Rest is as equally important to growth and development as the training itself. We at IBC believe in 'quality over quantity' and fully expect to give our athletes quality training, as well as quality tournament play.

Below you will see a rough outline for our season, and what to expect as we help our athletes achieve their goals.

August – Arm Maintenance/Rest

September – Light workouts begin, along with our mental game coaching. Additionally, our athletes are provided with academic and community service expectations.

Academics and community service will play an equally large, if not larger, role in their future goals as the on-field work itself. In addition to the program academic requirements, throughout winter training we will bring in coaches and recruiters from various campuses and semi-professional baseball teams to speak with our student-athletes about the importance of academics beyond high school, as well as the standards they look for on-field as well.

October through January – Winter Training
All programs listed below will come with “at home” work as well. The biggest key to success for our athletes is their buy-in and commitment to the program. Baseball is an everyday commitment, and we will provide the steps to ensure they know what to do when not in the facility.

Pitching Program
Catchers Program
Hitting Program
Fielding Program - Infield and Outfield

Strength/Conditioning/Mobility Program
During on-ramp phase of training, in September, athletes will be taught how to warm up and prepare their bodies before every practice and workout they have. In training months, we will have a strength and conditioning coach to assist in the lifting/conditioning portion of practices.

February – Live Work
This will create live reps for the entire month leading up to high school, preparing the athletes for live work a month before season starts.

Progress Reports
Athletes will be provided on-field progress reports at various phases of training. We believe in full transparency among our athletes and families. Understanding their strengths and weaknesses, from a coach’s standpoint, is vital in their growth. All athletes will receive individual progress reports during the following intervals:

- Pre-Winter Training
- Mid-Winter Training
- Post-Winter Training
- Mid-Season
- End of Season

Each of these reports will provide athletes and families with the individual level the coaching staff assesses the athlete to be in all areas of baseball including hitting and pitching mechanics, speed, agility and more. Not only will we report on the fundamentals, but the mental game too. Including coachability, attitude and teamwork. Most high school teams will provide something similar for their student-athletes at the end of their respective seasons.

Tournament Season
Tournament season will begin mid-May, once all high school players have finished with their programs. Non-varsity players will be done at the end of April, so during the time we are waiting for varsity players to finish, we will get back into workouts and tournament prep to regain chemistry. IBC is a high school and collegiate focused program, so tournaments will be very specific, targeted tournaments that will provide athletes with high level competition.
